Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake is thrilling, audacious, witty and emotive. The show is best known for replacing the female corps de ballet with a menacing male ensemble, which shattered conventions, turned tradition upside down and took the dance world by storm.
After causing an immediate sensation when it premiered at Sadler’s Wells in 1995, Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake returned with a fresh look for the 21st century. In this performance Liam Mower dances the part of The Prince, Nicole Kabera performs as The Queen, with Will Bozier portraying the iconic role of The Swan/The Stranger. Matthew Bourne’s powerful interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece is a passionate and contemporary Swan Lake for our times.
