Carlos Acosta Collection DVD (The Royal Ballet)

Carlos Acosta is one of the greatest ballet dancers of his generation and has occupied a unique position within The Royal Ballet for almost two decades. This collection offers the opportunity to see him dance three contrasting roles in three great Royal Ballet productions. He is playful as Colas, the young lover in Frederick Ashton’s joyfully bucolic La Fille mal gardée. As Romeo he is the innocent but tragic hero from Shakespeare in Kenneth MacMillan’s groundbreaking adaptation. In Acosta’s own vibrant production of the 19th-century classic Don Quixote he brings exuberance, charm and Latin flair to the role of Basilio. Compelling performances, dazzling technique and tremendous rapport with his Royal Ballet colleagues – all showcase the range of Acosta’s world-class talent.
